About

How are we creating a 'waste energy circular economy'?

At our heart we are disability support workers.

Large-scale composting at Lakeside Drive Community Garden. Thank you City of Darwin.

We harvest the black gold and do no-dig gardening.

Planting sunflowers and Zinnias is easy. Life, colour and satisfaction.

Support Workers NT  is an advocate for the Supported Employment Services Award to help supercharge participant engagement and growth of a local 'waste energy circular economy'.

Waste Energy Benefits Us (WeBU)  is an innovator and facilitator of practical products and processes to help drive a local 'waste energy circular economy' through individual, community and stakeholder participation.

Believing is seeing.

To help ELIMINATE single-use plastic we dishwash reusables at Darwin's Markets. World's best practice!

To help ADDRESS CONTAMINATION we have:

Bins in a ROW, separate as you throw.

Recycling. Organics. Waste. (ROW)

Strategies for change.

Benefits to share.

Coming soon! Nightcliff Markets:

  1. Separate 'certified compostable' containers (carbon)
  2. Shred
  3. Combine with food waste (nitrogen) in composters,
  4. Feed compost to worm farms,
  5. Harvest (worms, wiz and castings) and sell.
  6. Create a 'waste energy circular economy' and a new sustainable source of income for Lakeside Drive Community Garden.

More community engagement and empowerment!

The success of repurposing waste energy - with Supported Employment - adds to the success of our beloved NDIS.

How?

  1. We develop initiatives and processes to help fund our own operations.
  2. We help offset running costs to allow the NDIS to grow sustainably to include more participants.
  3. All levels of government have signed up to a series of imminent dates to eliminate and reduce human derived waste going into landfill (and our oceans, etc.). Hundreds of millions of dollars has been budgetted.
  4. Good ideas are highly sought after. Get this right now and the future is bright. From local to National, we can scale.

Composting is currently under estimated, under utilised and under resourced.

Combine strategic waste funding with simple initiatives - supported employment - and you have the ingredients for a waste revolution.

Goodness!

Blended Value: Good for you, the community and environment.
